Admission Requirements
1. New freshmen admitted to USU in good standing qualify for admission to this major.
2. Transfer students from other institutions need a 2.2 transfer GPA and students transferring
from other USU majors need a 2.0 total GPA for admission to this major
in good standing.
Opporunities for Experience
Students in the ADVS Department have opportunities for hands-on experiences in feeding, breeding,
handling,managing, and grooming animals. The skills important for handling animals are taught in
applied laboratory settings at the various department facilities. You can gain knowledge and
experience by working with beef and dairy cattle, horses, sheep, and swine.
