Data-Based Decisions
The major responsibility for recommending data-based curriculum decisions is delegated to the ADVS Department Curriculum Committee. The Curriculum Committee monitors the outcome measures on which assessment is based. It is assisted in this function by the ADVS Department Internship and Placement Committee, which consists of five faculty members, three undergraduate students and the department’s professional advisor. The Internship and Placement Committee summarizes and evaluates the outcome of undergraduate internships and research experiences and assembles data on career placement of graduates which it forwards to the Curriculum Committee for assessment. The Curriculum Committee makes recommendations to the ADVS Department Head and to the Department Faculty at monthly Department meetings.
