  • November 1998 to Present – Associate Professor and Extension Poultry Specialist, Utah State University


  • May 2006 – Completed the Exotic and Emerging Diseases of Animals Training Course held in Ft. Collins, Colorado and sponsored by USDA, APHIS, VS, the Colorado Department of Agriculture, and the Animal Population Health Institute.


  • November 2003 – Completed the Pathologists training course at Plum Island in foreign animal diseases.


  • July 2002 – Deployed to the Virginia/West Virginia Low Path Avian Influenza Task Force.


  • November 1986 to November 1998 - Employed by Moroni Feed Company, Moroni, Utah as Head of Veterinary department.


  • January 1985 to November1986 - Completed a two year avian residency program with the University of California, Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.
