• Certifying Official, Title 50, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of Interior. This certificate provides federal authority to conduct laboratory testing on fish designated for importation into the United States. Import officials from foreign nations often request that a Title 50 Inspector conduct the testing on fish from the U.S. designated for importation into their countries.


• Fish Health Official, Canada. This certificate provides federal authority to conduct laboratory testing on fish designated for importation into Canada, and to issue necessary Canadian Health Certificates. This is important, as Canada is a large export market for many U.S. aquaculture companies.


• Fish Health Inspector, Fish Health Section, American Fisheries Society. This certificate indicates approval by the Fish Health Section (FHS) of the American Fisheries Society to conduct laboratory testing on fish. Many state fish health officials require an inspector to be FHS approved before allowing importation of fish into their respective states (facilates interstate movement).
