  1. Identification of factors that effect oocyte maturation and early embryo development;

  2. Identification of factors that effect gene expression in the early embryo;


  3. The development of disease resistance by gene manipulation via transgenesis;


  4. Identification of chromosomal aberrations that effect reproduction, embryo and fetal development and neonatal survival in domestic livestock;


  5. The study of the effects of various plant toxins on reproduction and fetal development in sheep and goats; and


  6. The study of genetics, reproduction and physiology of wild sheep.
